• Make it a Marathon
  24 hour movie “playlists” set around certain themes such as a particular actor or year. These posts can be found in the TMP Archives.

  A “month in review” feature posted on the first or second of the month, sharing what I watched in the previous month, what I added to my DVD collection, and what the stats are for the year so far. These posts can be found in their own category.
• New-to-me Reviews
  All reviews of new-to-me films go in this category.
• Reviewin’ the Box
  These reviews take DVD quality into account, scoring on criteria of image quality, special features and packaging. Mill Creek Musings posts are included in this feature series as well. The posts can be found in their own category.
• Period Film
  As the name would suggest, these are reviews of films set in the past. Most of the films included in this feature are 20th century period pieces, though I do venture into older time periods on occasion. These posts can be found in the TMP Archives.
• TMP Reads
  Reviews of books that are of interest to classic film/classic television fans — mostly historical fiction, biographies and film-related essay collections. These posts are linked in the TMP Index.
• Where did they go?
  A series tracking what the minor players in films and television shows went on to accomplish after finding greater fame. These posts are linked in the TMP Index.

COMPLETED PROJECTS

• Eight Days of Christmas
  This series from December 2013 included eight reviews of classic holday films. These posts can be found in the TMP Archives.
• Films to Watch in Winter
  This series from December 2012 included reviews of films that take place during winter or during the holidays. The posts can be found in the TMP Archives.
• Horror Half-Week 2012, 2013 and 2014
  An annual four-day event featuring horror films through the decades, in celebration of Halloween. Posts for all years can be found, in chronological order by post date, in the TMP Archives.
• Lindsey Tries to Appreciate Westerns
  This series pushed me out of my comfort zone, by me forcing myself to watch films from my least-favorite genre: the Western. By the end of the project, I not only gained an appreciation for the genre, but found some favorite films. Links to all reviews for this project can be found in the wrap-up post.
• Through the library, alphabetically
  This project from 2012 had me exploring my local public library’s film collection — one film for each letter of the alphabet, in order. Links to the reviews can be found in the project’s wrap-up post.

DISCONTINUED FEATURES

• Reviews in a line or two
  Reviews of post-1970 films used to appear in this format. They can be found in the TMP Archives. Post-1970 reviews now appear in “Modern Movies” posts once a month, or on occasion receive full reviews.
• What to Watch
  Weekly TCM recommendations. Ran for 50 installments. Will still be updated sporadically with single recommendations/Summer Under the Stars recommendations. These posts can be found in linked in the index.
