Welcome to this week’s installment of “What to Watch,” TMP’s recommendation series, which will be posted every Tuesday. All times are listed in EST and subject to change. Items marked with an asterisk are “new to me” films that I hope to catch (or at least tape for later viewing) during the upcoming week. (ONLY TCM RECOMMENDATIONS ARE FEATURED THIS WEEK. I ran out of time to sift through the other schedules! I also had to make a correction to the title of the post after I published it because I’m so very mentally present today — sorry about that!)

Some great picks here! Although I would delete “Bell, Book and Candle” from the list. I have tried to watch this movie 3 times, but can’t get past the 20-minute mark. My main problem is that I am not a Kim Novak fan. However, I did like her in “Vertigo”.

I’m not an enormous fan of her but I bought Bell, Book and Candle blind last year (to reach the free shipping limit on Amazon, haha) and really enjoyed it. Bummer that you couldn’t get into it!

So sad. I really enjoy Bell, Book, and Candle. Or maybe I just enjoy how “off-beat” some of the characters are. Jack Lemmon really steals the movie.

I love Jack Lemmon in it, too. (Then again, I love him in just about anything. :P)

Hope you get to see Love Parade it so the quintessential pre-code Lubitsch musical. Maurice Chevalier and Jeanette MacDonald are wonderful.

I loved them together in ‘Love Me Tonight,’ so I’m sure I’ll enjoy ‘Love Parade’ as well!

Haha! It’s channel 66 here, not sure what it is elsewhere. You’re missing out if you’ve never watched TCM. It is the world’s most wonderful cable network.
