cgToday is Cary Grant’s birthday, and it’s also the second anniversary of the day that I started TMP! On that very first day of blogging, I posted a tiny tribute to Cary — one of my first original TMP posts, since I had spent most of the day migrating mini-reviews from Tumblr to WordPress.

Since I’m unable to do a giveaway for the anniversary this year as I did for the first anniversary, I thought it would be fun to celebrate the day with Cary Grant once again. I’m also celebrating with a brand new series, and this first installment stars none other than The Most Beautiful Man Ever himself. “Make it a Marathon” is an idea I’ve come up with to post movie “playlists” now and then — lists of films with a certain theme that add up to about 24 hours of viewing.

Now, I don’t encourage gluing yourself to the couch/chair/bed of your choice to actually watch this 24 hours worth of Cary Grant in a single sitting. If you were going to spend a whole day watching Cary Grant films, though, these are the ones I’d suggest! They’re listed alphabetically. And before you flip about your favorite being left off, believe me, this was the most difficult list I’ve ever made for the blog. If there was such a thing as “too many good films,” Grant’s filmography would be the definition of it! His best don’t fit into a mere 24 hours.
