Barbara Stanwyck just might be the greatest actress Hollywood has ever had the honor of calling its own. Eventually finding success in both film and television, this woman could do it all — comedy, drama, thriller, Western. You name it, she probably played it… and played it well! Her characters were varied and her performances are known for their captivating, honest, and authentic qualities.
As soon as I saw my first Stanwyck film I became a fan, and a few months after beginning this blog in 2012 I made it my mission to watch (or re-watch) and review every film that Stanwyck ever made! As of December 2017, I have done just that: reviewed every single Stanwyck film, and a few of her TV projects! Here you’ll find Stanwyck’s filmography list, as well as links to my reviews of her work.

Lindsey, I (literally) just started a Facebook page to chronical my own Stanwyck project and then found your blog. I’ve been thikning about it for awhile and when I decided to do one Stanwyck film a week (in chronilogical order) I figured why not share it with the world. I’m slightly saddened, although not surprised in the least, to see this has already been done. With that being said, I hope you don’t feel like I’m simply copying you or your idea. I would actually love to share your blog from time to time on the page, to help spread the love for Missy!

Oh no, I don’t feel like you’re copying my idea at all! I’m certainly not the first person to watch a star’s entire filmography, nor the first to blog the experience (though I haven’t seen anyone else do the full Stanwyck filmography). I’m eager to see what you think of the films and will be sure to check out your page!

Lindsey, do you have air dates for all of her television appearances, or know some resources I could use to research them myslef? Her filmography on IMDB is not complete so far as television is concerned.

Hey, apologies for taking so long to get back to you! I’m unaware of a complete list of air dates, unfortunately. Even Barbara-Stanwyck.com just uses the IMDb list, and I don’t know of any digitized TV guide archives. Sorry I can’t be more helpful!

Thanks for the list; I am printing it out and will use it as a guide to borrow movies from the library. I just watched Night Nurse a second time in order to really watch Barbara. It has a very strange, hard to believe premise, but it is just fun to watch both Barbara and Joan Blondell together. If it had not been for your recommendations, I would have missed this odd little film.

Carol, if you haven’t seen it already you might enjoy her earlier work with Blondell in Illicit!
