To those of you who’ve migrated over here from tumblr, hello! And to those of you who stumbled upon my little blog at random, hello to you as well. If you haven’t guessed already, my name is Lindsey. I like movies, and I like to write about them from the perspective of an avid but non-professionally-trained viewer.

Another message for those who are unfamiliar with my other blog: my goal this year is to watch as many “new to me” films as possible. Here you will find reviews of all of those films, as well as other film/entertainment related ramblings of mine.

I started out on tumblr about two years ago as Old Hollywood Daily, posting pictures of my favorite actors and actresses. As a young addict of classic film, surrounded by family and friends who can’t really relate to that addiction, I wanted a place to share all of the great films and people that I was discovering. Tumblr seemed perfect for that. One name change (to Recollective) and two years later, I still enjoy tumblr. Now that I’ve delved into the world of reviews again, however, I think it’s time to move the text posts over here.

In short, I’d like to welcome myself to the world of wordpress, and welcome you to the world of my movie-lovin’ brain. I hope you’ll enjoy what you see here!
