Since I’ll be contributing to every day of the William Castle blogathon, there will be no usual What to Watch post next Tuesday… and since August is TCM’s annual Summer Under the Stars month, I still wanted to share some recommendations! What to Watch will return to its regular schedule on August 6, so the following are my recommendations for August 1 – 6.
For Summer Under the Stars, I’ll be selecting three to five films from each day to recommend. There will be no “new to me” selections since I’m going to be out of town/without TCM for half of the month of August and won’t be able to catch as many films as I’d like to.
All times are listed in EST and subject to change; check your local schedule for updates.

If you truly have that much confidence in your recommendations, feel free to leave them anyway. :P I’m still willing to let my “to watch” list grow… I just didn’t want to specifically seek out “new to me” films in the schedule this month because I know I won’t be here to watch them, nor will I have enough room on the DVR to record them all. Usually when I make the What to Watch posts skimming for unfamiliar titles is the first thing I do, so I’m just skipping that step during August!

Hey, I steered you right with ‘Invasion of the Star Creatures’, didn’t I? I’ll eagerly await you return to the land of ‘new to me’ films in September…until then, I’ll just suffer!
