The month in blogging:
December saw the blog to return to a three day per week schedule rather than four, something I didn’t want to do but was a necessity as I fell behind in writing. I have notes on so many films, but so few finished reviews!
Still, the month saw a lot of fun posts. Collector’s Corner had two updates. First up, a film collection update featuring everything I picked up from late September through November. There was also a special Christmas edition of the Corner, sharing all of the holiday films that live on my shelves.
The infrequently-updated Mill Creek Musings series saw one update, a review of Fear in the Night, which is available in the 50 Dark Crimes DVD set.
The main attraction of the month was a gaggle of Stanwyck films! I really wanted to finish up the Stanwyck Project by the end of 2017, and I’m happy to say I’ve accomplished that goal! I will have a few extra posts wrapping up the series, but all of the reviews are up. Reviewed in December: A Taste of Evil, California, Flesh and Fantasy, Variety Girl, You Belong to Me, and The Night Walker.
I hope 2018 is treating you all well so far! Here’s to a (hopefully) great year!
“I have notes on so many films, but so few finished reviews!” Man oh man, I know what that’s all about…too many to deal with, and some are so old, I’ve forgotten what I thought about the movie! And a lot of theater movies for you this month; I only went to three new releases the entire year, and the last was in October…ugh! And I’ve been wanting to check out ‘Death on the Diamond’ for a while now…will you be posting a review?

My sister and I have been going to a lot of matinees, and I also got a few free tickets this month, which accounts for the high number of theater visits! I will be reviewing Death on the Diamond in a couple weeks, after I get all of the end-of-year and Stanwyck project wrap-ups done.
